Austin George Dorgu (B. 1992, Lagos, Nigeria) is a Self-Taught Nigerian artist whose practice articulates the facets and gestures of modern African society. Although he trained as an economist at Bells University, Otta Ogun State, Nigeria, his artistic talent has always shone through and manifested from home to all the schools he attended.

His mediums include oil on canvas and acrylic, charcoal on paper and digital art. He made his first professional painting upon buying his first easel and canvas. This piece was like a bridge between his dream and its manifestation.

I see my art as a means of celebrating the youthful energy that I believe drives contemporary society. To achieve this aim, I paint the figures in my work in hyperrealism to condense and reflect the spirit of the times.
